Stafford Inspections offers training to students interested in becoming licensed Home Inspectors. Over 100 Inspectors in the state of Texas have successfully completed our program.
Apprentices must have their own tools. They must have completed either the correspondence or in-class schooling mandated by the Texas Real Estate Commission. The requirements can be seen at the Texas Real Estate Commission website.
Once the independent coursework is complete, Don teaches the practical, "hands on" aspects of inspecting. Apprentices must be under his direct supervision for 90 days. During this time they will make 25 inspections. After the verified 25 inspections, the Apprentices take the state test.
When the Apprentices pass the state test and then pay the appropriate licensing fees they become Licensed Inspectors. The Inspectors will then be under Don's indirect supervision for a minimum of 1 year and 175 inspections. During that time Don is available for consultation and help in their business.
The costs are $2,500.00 to sign up and $250.00 per month during your time
under Don's license. After completing the final test for Professional Inspector, you will no longer be under Don's license. Don is listed with the State of Texas as being able to sponsor new Inspectors.
