What is an Infrared Inspection?

Infrared (thermal imaging) is an advanced, non-invasive technology that allows the inspector to investigate structural deficiencies that won’t be revealed using conventional inspection methods. An infrared inspection can identify and document moisture intrusion, energy loss due to missing or improperly installed wall and attic insulation. Electrical hot spots can be identified using this technology. Infrared is also used to locate damaged or disconnected ductwork in the attic and walls. Infrared scanning will help identify plumbing leaks.
